Following an extended collaboration between Vrgineers and Razbam Simulations, the innovative F-15E Strike Eagle trainer will make its debut at the IT2EC exhibition in Rotterdam. The firms aim to supply cost-effective, adaptable COTS trainers to the U.S. Air Force by merging Vrgineers’ Portable Trainer and XTAL 3 Virtual Headset with Razbam’s F-15E Strike Eagle design. The F-15E Strike Eagle model was launched earlier this year and is accessible to anyone using Digital Combat Simulator at home. This distinctive approach enables Air Forces to practice teamwork and mission preparations with the most advanced and budget-friendly solution currently available.
Portable Trainers are simple to set up and easy to transport (by two individuals). The device provides maximum immersion due to the utilization of XTAL, featuring a 180-degree field of view and a 4k resolution headset. The rising demand for pilots, the adoption of virtual pilot training to ensure aviation safety, and the requirement to lower pilot training costs are the primary reasons for the rapid increase in the use of these COTS trainers as part of expanding Pilot Next, RVCT, and other advanced training initiatives.
“Our integration with Vrgineers simulators allows our model’s features to transform into an ultimate training solution and deliver a cost-effective option to all F-15E air forces and operators,” states Ronald Zambrano, CEO & founder of Razbam Simulations.
“The accuracy of the RAZBAM F-15E Strike Eagle is astounding. The level of detail in the cockpit and the array of functions available in conjunction with our trainers enables virtually anyone to become a proficient F-15 pilot. We anticipate that by 2030, every pilot will have access to one of these trainers and can utilize it from home,” says Marek Polcak, CEO & co-founder of Vrgineers.
The remaining instrument panel and cockpit are virtual. Switch and knob manipulation is accomplished through hand tracking of the trackball, granting pilots full access to capabilities. The present platform is unsuitable for procedural training due to the absence of necessary features for muscle memory training. Nevertheless, Vrgineers is developing a mixed-reality version of the F-15E trainer, slated for its initial presentation at I/ITSEC in Orlando later this year. The mixed-reality configuration will enable complete 1:1 training. Furthermore, the F-15E model incorporates the new TALON AI, a co-pilot AI responsible for tactical tasks such as target locking and navigation.
Vrgineers is a pioneer in creating immersive technologies centered on training professional fighter jet and helicopter pilots. The company designs and produces its XTAL headset for virtual and mixed reality. Vrgineers’ product range also comprises flight simulators – the Classroom, Portable, and Custom Trainer. The XTAL headset is developed based on the priorities of professional pilots and instructors from the global aviation community to satisfy the most stringent requirements for realistic simulation. This is accomplished through the unique combination of a broad field of view and high image quality that XTAL delivers. Vrgineers simulators form the foundation of a contemporary synthetic training platform.
