This was a planned rotation to maintain the presence of advanced US aircraft along NATO’s eastern flank.
It is important to remember that in late summer 2022, the USA already deployed Raptor fighters to Poland.
In August, a total of 12 F-22 fighters touched down in the Polish city of Lask as part of an initiative to bolster NATO’s eastern flank in response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
