Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel have showcased the operational capabilities of a TOW-2B anti-tank missile system. A video recording of the demonstration took place in the most intense area of the front line, near Bakhmut.
Here’s What We Know: The anti-missile system is installed on an armored HMMWV. However, it should be noted that the TOW-2B is also integrated into the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, which were recently acquired by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The missile itself features a warhead with a diameter of approximately 150mm, equipped with two EFP-type charges developed by Aerojet.
The warhead detonates during the missile’s trajectory when it reaches the most vulnerable section of the target.
The TOW-2B missile is equipped with a remote dual-mode fuse. Magnetic and laser sensors are utilized to detect a significant mass of metal in close proximity to the target, subsequently triggering the warhead’s detonation.
