The US Army Corps of Engineers has granted Conti Federal Services a $70.5 million agreement to build a new B-21 Radio Frequency Facility (RF Hangar) at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. The facility will be the seventh construction endeavor under the B-21 Raider strategic bomber staging initiative in Ellsworth. The RF Hangar will span 64,500 square feet (6,000 square meters) at the base.
It will encompass a single aircraft measurement and related areas for facility assistance, administrative tasks, and back shops. The construction will occur under the Intelligence Community Directive/Intelligence Community Standard 705 physical and security zone guidelines. The project is slated for completion by September 2025.
Expanding Partnerships. Concurrently with the agreement, Conti Federal is erecting a helicopter facility at FE Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. The firm is also engaged in an F-35 Fighter Alert Shelter at Truax Field in Madison, Wisconsin.
“This award is a substantial achievement for the Conti Federal team, as this will be our inaugural project at Ellsworth Air Force Base,” Conti Federal Program Director Ryan Kanzleiter remarked. “It is an excellent chance for us to nurture our connections with local collaborators and the USACE Omaha District.”
“We are thrilled to commence work on the RF Hangar and to engage our local team situated in our Rapid City office. This undertaking will place Conti Federal favorably for upcoming projects at Ellsworth Air Force Base and within the USACE Omaha Area of Responsibility.”
